A wedding day at Liverpool's Iconic Racquet Club

Historically the Racquet Club was once a Gentleman's club. Today it has the perfect fusion of both new and old features, enticing both couples who love something modern & traditional all at the same Wedding venue. This stunning venue is now home to also the Ziba Restaurant which I hear does an amazing menu. Location wise the Racquet club is set in the heart of the city, in close proximity to the Liverpool docks and in walking distance of St Nicolaus's Church and the historical Liver Buildings.

A whirlwind Arrival

Shelly began her bridal prep at home, surrounded by close family including her two beautiful children who were playing flower girl and page boy for the day. Hair & Make up was simply Devine for three generations of ladies, Shelly, her mother and her grandmother. The girls from Orchid Blush were just lovely and extremely talented. Her embroidered white gown from ASAP Brides hung in the light of the window, complete with sparkly bridal Carvela Heels boxed below. Shelly had selected a 'Barely There' Veil which complimented her attire perfectly in such a subtle way. Flowers were pretty and perfect - Lorraine's Florist Litherland

The Ceremony room at the Racquet Club is traditional it has vintage touches and light flooding in from one side through tall windows. The Bridal Party arrive 'a little later than expected' leaving Tony to wonder upstairs... Arriving in a traditional number by Barrington Cars

Wedding Ceremony in the heart of the City

A civil ceremony which was beautiful complete with close family and friends, their children playing their own parts in the day. Little touches I loved were the Wedding tiered cheese cake by the Liverpool Cheese Company  complete with wedding favours in the form of mini chutneys by Sarah's Fiesty Flavours. And their choice to have live music!

I was absolutely spoilt for choice doing couple shots here, theres inside the venue to start. Layers of staircases, moody windows, Huge door ways and plenty of inspiration outside too. We managed to get out in-between the rain to the windy roadway in the shadow of the iconic Liver building

Relaxed, Romantic and Real - Wedding Photography

My style of photography is mainly documentary, capturing the emotions as they happen and capturing the moments as they unfold. I am a fun, laid back, real person (last time I checked) I am also a mum, a dress holder, a necklace putter on’er, a shoe admirer as well the person taking photographs. My overall style is a twist of originality and something a little unique too. No wedding will ever be captured the same.
