Wedding photography at the Hope Street Hotel

A Mid week wedding at the Hope Street Hotel

Our first meeting - I walk into Costa, full on pregnant (picture a small whale) carefully balancing a couple of wedding albums and my handbag, these two still smiling and totally enthusiastic to book in with me. I am so glad they did!

I was totally intrigued by their venue choice. I adore Liverpool wedding venues, I have a huge bucket list and this was one of them! Liverpool is a huge part of my family's history and I love the culture. The Hope Street Hotel is a Wedding venue I was yet to do and the more we chatted over our drinks I just knew this was going to be an awesome wedding.

A city centre wedding at the Hope Street hotel is something special. The venue itself is an absolute hidden gem! Its a Privately owned, independently ran hotel. Although it is beautifully modern in design there are spectacular features included the beautiful glass art piece in their restaurant and lots of homely wooden features which bring it down to earth too. It has area that are intimate and warm and then outstanding airy rooms with walls of glass windows and phenomenal views of the Liverpool sky line.

Vic and Ben wanted their day to be as relaxed as possible with a very little formal photo list (yay) and they just the wanted their day documenting as it happened (Which I hope I managed) I am sure the selfie sticks on the tables contributed to this too :)

The day began with Vic and her bridesmaids arriving back from getting her 'just to die for' Make up and Hair all done at Peaches and Cream on Dale street. Dresses hung on the wardrobe, her tiny and very beautiful 'Carvela' Heels sitting all glittery and pretty beneath her dress. The flowers!! oh the flowers! Probably some of the most beautiful bouquets I have ever seen and they literally smelt the bridal suite out! By Yvette at the Flower Barn, Little Crosby

The girls are relaxed, she's ready early, Mum arrives for an emotional moment. The dress is stunning, she tells me its completely different from what she had expected to buy but its perfect! So unique, and utterly different to any dress I have photographed this year in all the best ways. Vic has got a gorgeous figure and this dress showed it off amazingly.

The ceremony is held in 'The Fifth' which is every photographers dream the light in here is just awesome. There are two huge glass windowed walls, white furniture completing it all. Ben looked very smart in his uniform. The ceremony is short and sweet with a lovely reading by Ben's Daughter.

The weather was up and down we managed to get so many photographs in and out of this wedding venue. Including a very exciting dash out of the rain for the group shot. Outside there are so many unique and quirky areas, including a fab little street where we might have set off a very colourful smoke bomb (shhh).

To conclude, it was a wonderful day from start to finish their guests were lovely and friendly, I had quite a few lift conversations that day, there are so many lifts in this place! And the restaurant, OMG! Award winning dosent give it credit. BEST FOOD EVER. If you have the chance go...seriously go you will not be disappointed...Fingers crossed I’ll be back at the Hope Street Hotel soon for another gorgeous wedding and to enjoy some more of their culinary delights.

Congratulations to Vic & Ben, seriously one of the nicest couples I have worked with, thank you for choosing me, I really hope I have captured your day just as you wanted.

Relaxed, Romantic and Real - Wedding Photography

My style of photography is mainly documentary, capturing the emotions as they happen and capturing the moments as they unfold. I am a fun, laid back, real person (last time I checked) I am also a mum, a dress holder, a necklace putter on’er, a shoe admirer as well the person taking photographs. My overall style is a twist of originality and something a little unique too. No wedding will ever be captured the same.
