Jen & Collins - A Liverpool Wedding Day
Jen and Colin what a wonderful day! I first met Jen about 18 months ago when she turned up with her children for a christmas photoshoot. I am completely flattered she decided to choose me as her wedding photographer, its always lovely to work with an existing client, one as nice as Jen.
The sun was shining down all day. A wedding day is a special for every women, but for a mum of five plus a lovely step daughter, Jen defiantly deserved a little time for herself getting her hair and Make up done. The day ran perfectly considering the hustle and bustle of the huge 'blue' themed bridal party. It was lovely to bump into Toni Mckeever who was doing the make up for the girls, I did a Make up day with her in Jan and she is Amazing!! Highly recommended to all my brides! Hair was done by Samantha Foley-Benson and Michelle Boylin (The colour bar on the Wirral) You know this is a Liverpool wedding even the flower girls have pin curls.
Little touches I loved - Colin decided to buy Jen two stunning pandora bracelets as gifts and in one of the boxes was the train ticket from their first ever date...How sweet! I also loved the photo pendant with her fathers photograph in that she tied to her flowers.
The ceremony took place at St Johns Church in Liverpool, a stunning church inside and out, the perfect setting for a wedding day. The ceremony was extremely personal with two heart felt with readings from both Colin's daughter and then Jen's. Theres nothing more special than two families coming together, families who are extremely close and grateful for each other.
After the ceremony we took a short ride to Newsham park for some couple shots, I want my couples to have that time to relax and enjoy each other away from the main party, even its a short 30 minutes. The weather was just glorious and hopefully I have managed to capture a little piece of the love between these two.
Reception - Vagabonds Tennis club, beautifully decorated in blue and creams, so much detail and effort went into this. Their three tier silhouette cake was by Natalie's Cakes and Bakes. A sweet afternoon tea style wedding breakfast was set out, cupcakes, scones with cream and Jam, triangle sandwiches and more all put together by Jen's cousins and Auntie who also put together all those flowers! The wonderful sweet cart, letter box and love light letters by Zara Whyte.
The icing on the cake has got to be just as I was packing up to leave, Jens brother walks towards Jen backwards with a T shirt displaying 'Can I have this dance' and as he turns round Jens dad graces the front, they share a beautiful dance together and I am sure her Dad was looking down on what was a wonderful Wedding day from start to finish.
Thank you Jen and Colin and your lovely family for making my job such a pleasure! Wishing you all the best for the future...x
